Peako offers three interactive lessons: When to Add a Cache (caching), Redis vs Memcached (cache technology), and Surviving a Traffic Spike (scaling). Each lesson takes 3 to 5 minutes.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Peako ("Service"), operated by Peako ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Peako is a web-based interactive lesson platform for system design. Users read production scenarios, make architecture decisions, and watch animated consequences on live diagrams. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using Peako, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account using Google OAuth or email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately at support@peako.dev if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
Impersonate any person or entity
Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code

6. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Service, including its design, lesson content, animation system, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Peako. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your lesson progress and choice history on Peako. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your progress solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Lesson animations and consequence visualizations are educational approximations. They are intended for learning and should not be relied upon as engineering specifications for production systems.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEAKO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@peako.dev. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
